The TOTEM Board recently received a letter full of accusations. They take them seriously and want to be transparent with the members about the situation. Please take a moment to read through the letter and contact the board with any questions.

FIRST AID TRAINING
The TOTEM Board and Employee Representatives are now training TOTEM Members in First Aid during the school year at the TOTEM Office. In order to attend, you must sign up on mylearningplan.com. Due to COVID, we are currently learning about the new protocols necessary for safe trainings. Currently, we are offering a few full day courses and one recertification class. All classes will be at the TOTEM Office with social distancing and required masks. Check out the calendar and sign up on MLP.
TOTEM NEW EMPLOYEE ORIENTATIONS
As a new TOTEM employee and an Anchorage School District employee, our goal to be sure that you understand the rights and benefits to being part of this union and the District.
Please come by and talk with some of our Board members to learn more at our new employee orientation. You will have an opportunity to get your questions answered and we can provide you with further information on anything that you find in your new member packet. The dates for the 2022/2023 New Employee Orientations have been scheduled via Zoom and can be found on the calendar. If you would like to participate, please email the TOTEM Office for a link.
TOTEM MENTOR PROGRAM
Mentoring is defined as a relationship, which has mutual benefits for all parties involved, and is used to help a new to position employee achieve their goal of being successful by receiving assistance & guidance from a more experienced peer. Mentors serve as a positive role model, promote positive reinforcement and are a resource for the new to position employee.
TOTEM mentors must be members in good standing of TOTEM Association. Members who are granted mentor status will receive an additional 2% above their base salary rate.
TOTEM currently has mentors available for the following job positions:
