The PSP is governed by the National Association of
Educational Office Professionals (NAEOP) to encourage professional growth of
educational support staff. The certificates are based on five areas:
experience, education, evaluation, in-service, and professional activity.
You must complete requirements in all five areas and must be a member of
NAEOP to apply.
The three deadlines for applying for the PSP
certificates are January 15th, May 15th, and September
15th. Certificate awards include a 2%, 4%, 6%, and 7% pay increase per
the negotiated Collective Bargaining Agreement, Section 507.1.
PSP Workshops are held throughout the year at the TOTEM
Office at 3310 Arctic Blvd, Suite 200. The
workshops are designed to make the PSP process as easy as possible.
Forms are available in a Microsoft Word format (PSP
Forms-Word) or a PDF version can be found online at

certificate to be considered as current by NAEOP, members must recertify
their highest-level PSP certificate every five years or upgrade to a higher

those with the CEOE distinction will be not be required to pay for the CEOE
