TOTEM Updates

NEW LOCATION FOR TOTEM SPRING CONFERENCE!

We are pleased to announce the TOTEM Spring Conference on March 8 & 9, 2010, will be held at Change Point. This facility located off of Minnesota and Raspberry has more than adequate space for our sessions, an in-house catering service and a parking lot large enough to accommodate all our parking needs at no cost.

Registration for the conference begins on Wednesday, February 3 at 4:00 pm. Packets were sent to you through interschool mail. If you didn't receive a packet or need another copy, you can download one here. If you'd like more information on the conference, go to this page.

Scholarship Applications

Member scholarship applications are now available to download here and are due to the TOTEM office by February 19, 2010. They will be given out at the TOTEM Spring Conference. (Member dependent scholarship applications are due by March 19, 2010.)

PSP Workshops are held at the TOTEM Office by Amey Tamagni, the PSP Chairperson. If you'd like more information on the Professional Standards Program (PSP), you can find it here and here. You can sign up for a workshop on My Learning Plan.

A NOTE ON PSP RECERTIFICATION:

An important clause has been added to the TOTEM contract which requires that you keep your national certificate current to receive your percentage increase.

Because this change does not take place until July 1, 2010, now is the time to dust off that old certificate and take a look at it’s expiration date. Then, find out here what’ll you’ll need to do in the next 5 months to make sure that extra money doesn’t disappear from your paycheck.
