A Big THANK YOU
to those who helped to make the 2009 Spring Conference such a
success!!! In fact, volunteers are one the main reasons why TOTEM
has been able to provide such an opportunity each year to our
members.

Contract Ratified!!
TOTEM is pleased to announce
that negotiations were successful and the tentative agreement was
ratified by a 3 to 1 vote on March 31, 2009. Once approved by the
ASD School Board, the new contract will be effective beginning
July 1, 2009 through June 30, 2012. Copies of the Tentative
Agreement are available by calling the TOTEM Office.

Behavioral Health Certificate Program
Classes
will soon be starting to qualify for the Behavioral Health
Certificate offered by the Center for Human Development at UAA.
This exciting program contains five different classes on the
following topics:
Introduction to Children's Behavioral Health
Skill Basics in Behavioral Health
Working with Traumatized Children
Positive Behavioral Health Supports in Youth Care
Teaching Social Skills to Youth in Behavioral Health Care
Scholarships are available for those interested. Click each topic
